Keira’s co-star in The Duchess reveals in this interview that Keira had a wig-rest to keep her wig on in between shots. Apparently they were a pain in the neck!

And co-star Hayley Atwell, who shot to fame on TV’s The Line Of Beauty, revealed that Keira found the wig too heavy for her delicate head and neck.

Hayley, in LA to promote her new movie Brideshead Revisited, said: “I loved filming The Duchess. Keira has a great sense of humour – she’s really funny.

“She had to wear this huge wig that was so heavy. They made her a special board that she could lean her shoulders and head against in between takes so she didn’t topple over or get neck ache! It was funny.”

I was browsing through Comcast On Demand tonight and found that Atonement is now available. If you are a Comcast customer you can now purchase a viewing of Atonement (I think for $3.99) for 24 hours! This is a great option if you don’t have the DVD yet (you are crazy if you don’t!). And FX has been playing King Arthur around the clock. If you have some extra time within these next few days make sure to watch some of these programs.

Yesterday I changed the layout to this one that I made. I did love Amanda’s design but I like to change layouts about once every month. This is very simple but summer-y and I like it. I hope you enjoy it as well.

[Edit!] The Press Archive and the Style Section have gotten a bit of a makeover as well.

The gallery has also gotten a slight makeover. I changed the header image and the entire theme. I also updated all of the thumbnails, they are a bit wider now and I got rid of the thumb sharpening. You wouldn’t believe how long it took to update over 26,000 thumbnails (five hours!). But, it’s all done now. Enjoy!

Sorry for the slow updates lately, it just seems like Keira news has been inching along. There’s only a story or two every week or so. But yeah. ComingSoon has a nice page about the Duchess, including a movie poster and still, which has been added into the gallery.

The Edge of Love has now been reduced to 60 screens in the UK. The total money taken in is around £1,042,000, which is only slightly more successful than Silk. There’s still no signs of it being released in the US.

And remember that surprise that I was talking about earlier? I don’t think it’s going to happen, unfortunately. I purchased hosting with a site so that we could hopefully have our own Videos site. I had everything up and running, but it turns out that our host doesn’t support PhpMotion. So, we’ll have to stick with YouTube for now unless I can find a way to fix things. Sorry!
